Battlestar Galactic Online
"FTL drives, fighter combat, The Pegasus, and the sweet silence of death in space. It all here on Battlestar Galactica Online. For those of you who love the modern series, I have to say the reason I tried this game out was to see if I could replicate the Cylon fighter that appears in the episode entitled "Scar". That particular Cylon fighter could scramble Dradis readouts, attack without warning, and tortured Starbuck. Well, so can you."
"BSGO is an MMORPG that also allows players to pick human or Cylon and then customize their craft to their personal tastes. Short range rapid-fire cannons, electronic warfare devices, and multiple warhead launchers are just some of the upgrades available almost immediately to the player. An added dimension to this game is that there are dozens of solar systems to fight over on each server. Players will find that while all the systems are immediately available to travel to, they are simply too dangerous for low level pilots."
"The visuals in the game are beautifully rendered and the bugs are few far between. Players will have to stretch their understanding of the modern dogfight here (enemies can stop dead in space causing you to fly past, allowing them to get on your tail).
In addition, players that don't want to shell out dollars for quick upgrades will encounter other players that have heavy cruisers and Battlestars. That's right, BSGO let's you pilot the big ships and watching them fight it out is amazing."
"One of the coolest things to see is the collection of human players that gather together and travel the systems as a Home Fleet. Using the in-game chat functions or Skype players can easily find the home fleet on their server (and monitor their maneuvers). I've seen home fleets with as many as 70 ships of all types arrive in galaxy via Faster Than Light Drive. The battles that erupt between these fleets are huge."
